For the fourth consecutive year, IPFW will host the Dane Fife Summer Basketball Camp. The camps will be held at Ivy Tech and the Concordia Seminary Jun 13-16, with two sessions each day ranging from an 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. for kids kindergarten through fourth grade at Ivy Tech and a second session from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. for fifth through eighth grade at Concordia Seminary.
Head coach Dane Fife understands the importance of these camps, explaining his players’ roles throughout the week.
“Our players truly embrace the relationships that they establish with each camper,” Fife said. “It is important to us that we get to know each camper on an individual basis.”
The cost to attend the camp is $90 and each player will receive a t-shirt and basketball.
The camp would not be possible without the extension of the head coach’s contract. In late March, athletic director Tommy Bell announced that Fife agreed to a contract extension through 2016. This was the sixth consecutive season that IPFW has either tied or broke the school record for wins in a season.
