M&G Vinyl’s first annual Indiana Auto Show will be hosted from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on June 24 at AMVETS Post No. 33, 6620 Koester Drive.

The show aims to bring the automotive community together by opening the event to all cars, including kiddie cars. In order to make sure judging is more impartial, Reader made criteria for the ranking of cars. He made sure that judges are everyday people who like vehicles.

It’s his goal “to bring back the fun of car shows so everybody leaves happy,” Reader said.

Each car will cost $20 to show at the event. The first 75 cars in attendance will get stained-glass dash plaques donated by Glassique Art.

The event will be held in conjunction with AMVET Post #33’s Fundraiser for Special Children with Special Needs. The auto show and fundraiser were not planned to coincide, but Reader said that when he approached AMVET for a location to host the auto show they told him that they had wanted to add an auto show component for years.

The AMVET fundraiser will include auctions, a bounce house, DJ’s, 50/50 raffle and refreshments, Reader said.
