Every year, IPFW puts on a classical play, a musical, and two other plays to attract different audiences. The university chooses strategically when picking these productions, making sure no production will be on an IPFW stage if it has been put on at any area theater in the last eight years.

Taking the stage this winter is a production of “Our Town” in the IPFW Studio Theater. Playing a double role, Dan Butler, known for his role on the show Frasier, will be both starring in and directing the production.

According to Theater Department Chair John O’Connell, “Dan has requested to produce this play in our Studio Theatre, or as he refers to the space, ‘the old PIT theatre.’ Our expectations are high for audience appeal on this show.”

Butler has also announced that he has invited many IPFW alumni to join him in this production.

Spectators can purchase tickets for this play through the IPFW Box office. Alumni have the privilege of buying their tickets before the general public.

More information can be found from the College of Visual and Performing Arts.
