Smolder and Shine will host The World is Not Enough: A James Bond Gala from 8 to 11 p.m. March 11 at Cinema Center

The semi-formal/formal gala will benefit local organization Street Reach for the Homeless, which provides meals, clothing, sleeping bags and other necessities for the Fort Wayne homeless community.

Tickets are $40 for couples or $25 for singles. The gala will include a beer and wine cash bar featuring Skyfall Sangria, hors d’oeuvres, dancing, a photo booth and more. Prizes will be awarded for the Best Dressed Bond and Bond Girls. Smolder and Shine is a company that specializes in event planning for small nonprofits.

The idea for the James Bond theme came from Smolder and Shine as they wanted the event to be fun, fancy and for a good cause. Street Reach for the Homeless, was  chosen because Ashley Jylland-Hade, the CEO of Smolder and Shine,  said she knew they could use some help.

“The opportunity to reach people, to open eyes and often time minds, to squelch pre-conceived notions and judgments that may exist and offer a view that opens hearts and understanding is a true success,” said  Sally Becker-Segerson, founder of Street Reach for the Homeless. “It is an honor to be the benefactor of such a novel and creative event!”

IPFW students or staff interested in attending the gala can use the code “IPFW” to get 25% off tickets.
