On Oct. 22, students made a calendar page on the Science Mall to represent the abortions in the state of Indiana for each day of the month. The group passed out information sheets that had the statistics of the abortions performed in Indiana by day, month and year, and then a national total.

Adam Corral, a junior and the president of the club, was on the Science Mall passing out papers.

“I was an unplanned pregnancy,” Corral said, to explain his connection to the pro-life cause.

Zack Bessesen, a freshman with the group, said, “I’m Catholic and I love babies,” to explain why he is involved.

Students for Life is active in the community helping both A Hope Center and the Women’s Care Center, local crisis-pregnancy centers in Fort Wayne, and the organization plans to bring a group of students to the March for Life in Washington, D.C.

“[The pro-life movement is] for all people, [it] doesn’t just stop at birth. It is for all people, ages and races,” Corral said.
