As IPFW transitions to Purdue University Fort Wayne, the university will be switching email accounts.

Students will be transferring from Google to Office 365 and rather than using an @ipfw.edu or @students.ipfw.edu domain, all students, staff and faculty will be using @pfw.edu.

Mandi Witkovsky, manager of Security and Identity for Information Technology Services, said students, staff and faculty will be receiving an email with instructions on how to set up the new Office 365 email sometime between Feb. 2018 and June 2018.

Witkovsky said switching to Office 365 should benefit everyone because it will put everyone on the same system and allow for easier file sharing.

Students will have access to five copies of Microsoft programs after the swicth, instead of the two given through IU Ware.

As for other software available through IU ware, which will no longer available after June 2018, Witkovsky said they are still meeting with the West Lafayette campus to determine the best way to provide those programs for students.
